St. John Lutheran Church in Grafton, Wisconsin, an ELCA Lutheran Church, is a welcoming, community-minded group of people, passionate about Mission in service to Jesus Christ; who worship in a traditional and meaningful setting that instills peace and hope through God's Word while providing the opportunity to make lifelong friendships.
Our Mission
It is our mission as people called by God into the congregation of St. John Lutheran Church to:
- Proclaim the Gospel in worship and daily life
- Study and teach God's Word
- Fellowship among people of this congregation
- Serve people in our surrounding community

Meet Our Team
Jim O'Reilly-Christensen
Pastor - RETIRED
Pastor Jim retired after 15 years of dedicated ministry to St. John on June 30, 2024. St. John Lutheran Church is currently awaiting the assignment of an interim pastor to lead us forward through the call process. In the meantime we will continue to worship with Synod supported supply pastors.

How to Join
We encourage you to join us for worship one Sunday to experience St. John Grafton! We welcome your questions before or after visiting. We are also happy to arrange a private visit/tour of our church building to get familiar with our space and ask questions. Worship | Sunday mornings at 9:30am
St. John is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and practices a traditional style of worship, using the services from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship Book the first, second and fourth Sundays of each month and the With One Voice worship service on the third and fifth Sundays of the month. Holy Communion is offered each Sunday to any person who accepts Jesus Christ as the world's Savior. Music is an important part of worship at St. John with an adult choir and bell choir, a children's bell choir and flute accompaniment to enhance worship.
